CPU upgrade?
I am assuming that you cannot really upgrade the CPU on an xbox....is this true? Is it possible to upgrade the processor from the stock celeron to a P4 or P3?

Ok I'm wondering how would you change the lines of code in your xbox so you could do like special things like in halo 2 for example? can i please get an answer?
Well, all the data is likely in Hexadecimal and/or binary, so you would have to know what you're exactly changing for this to work. Anyway, this is the WRONG website to ask such a question: this site is about getting Linux on your XBox, not hacking/changing games.

A: No, the Dashboard method is MechAssault and is NOT to be confused with the Hardware method. I hope this clears up any confusion:
Dashboard/MechAssault/Software -> Can play games
Hardware/TSOP Flashing -> Can NOT play games
Action replay issues
I am doing the software/action replay method on my version 1 Xbox. I downloaded the Mechinstaller-1.0-FATX files and unzipped them. When I tried to drag and drop any of the files [8, 64, 128, 256 MB] I get an Action Replay error saything that 'this is not a valid Xbox file'...well that was unexpected. help with fixing tsop
I stuffed up my tsop and now i want to fix it. so i am wondering if anyone knows where i could find a decent tutorial on how to make a 29 wire modchip, so that i can reflash the tsop. i need a 29wire chip because you can not flash the tsop with a lpc chip. i have allready bought a PMC brand 29f002 - 256Kb flashrom and stuck it in a old motherbord to flash it with crommwell (256K) but uniflash (the program i am using) allways says that the flash fails(can not be vertified) any help from someone who has made one of these before or knows about them?

I was wondering if anyone had a copy of the old wiki which used to be at unmodded.mine.nu. There was some genuinely useful information there which has not made it to this wiki. Any help would be much appreciated.
